Law of Damages

Have you suffered any form of damage by the hand of another ? In law when somebody suffers any form of damage being bodily damage, financial damage or damages to your good name and standing in the community by the wilful or negligent act of another person, you are entitled to recover damages from said person. In law it is called a delict, a person commits a delict when he intentionally or negligently commits a act or omission that leads to another person suffering damages as a result of his action or omission. The law of delict is a vast field of law all on its own and we are capable to assist our clients in determining if an act constitutes a delict, quantifying such a delict and successfully litigating such a delict.

Medical doctors are commonly sued in delict by patients, this is more commonly known as medical negligence cases.
